Gay Bishop to Open Inaugural Festivities

The Gay community, their friends and families will be happy to know that New Hampshire Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson, a vocal gay rights leader, will open the presidential inauguration with a prayer on Sunday's kick-off event at the Lincoln Memorial.

This announcement comes weeks after President-elect Obama pissed off so many people over Rick Warren, the California pastor who has perpetrated lies about the gay, lesbian and bisexual community. Warren will still deliver the inaugural invocation.

  1. Bishop Robinson should be the one doing the invocation at the inaugural, not Warren. I think Obama figured that he could throw Robinson in that role to appease the gay community while telling his fundamentalist friends behind the scenes that he was just throwing you a bone to shut you up. Obama is no friend of the gay community and his behavior of refusing to have his picture taken with a gay mayor in San Francisco should have been a heads up.
