Stuck in my driveway
Pros & Cons of living in the country...here's one of the cons:
As I left for work today, I didn't realize my driveway had drifted shut...until it was too late! I got stuck halfway down the driveway in about a foot and a half of snow. I had to leave my car in the driveway and call for help or a ride. As I waited, I took this picture.
Earlier today we tried unsuccessfully to get unstuck by shoveling the snow away and placing rubber mats close to the tires. We finally just got the car out by bringing in several big buckets of gravel for traction. Now we are exhausted.
I will be so glad, when this blowing snow is gone. Ugh, what a day! Hopefully I can get the driveway plowed tomorrow and hopefully it won't drift shut again. If you live in a warm climate, see what you are missing!

Snow Day
Yes, I admit it. I took a "snow day" today. How else did I have time to do several blog entries? Even though we didn't get as much snow as some parts south and east of us, we got plenty--about 3-4 inches. We had a slow falling snow for three days straight, finally ending early this morning. It was 5 degrees today too, so I took a day off while I had the chance. It's going to get crazy busy at work very soon as Valentine's Day approaches. Plus, I am always busy with accounting on the first few days of every month.
As for the picture above...no, I didn't take it. You may have seen it before circulating on the internet. I received it with a myspace comment a long time ago and loved it!
