Kreativ Blogger Award

Argentum Vulgaris, of Nether Region of the Earth and Tomus Arcanum as well as several other blogs recently gave me the Kreativ Blogger award. A big thanks is long overdue! I really appreciate the recognition. Thank you so much, Argentum! Nether Region's link is from the award post, so simply click the title bar to get to the most current post on the blog.

He has several great blogs, that always guarantee something funny and also lots of good and interesting tidbits to read. It is easy to see why he would receive an award for creativity! Just take a look and you'll see what I mean (but watch out for Mr. Bean)!

Thank you, Argentum Vulgaris! I'm sorry it took so long for me to do this award post! My excuse: May is the busiest month of the year for me at work!

The award is also a meme, but the rules are simple. If you accept it, you are supposed to list seven of your favorite things and nominate seven blogs that deserve this award. And of course copy the award to your site and link back to this post or my blog. You should also notify the award winners in a comment.

Keep in mind that this did say favorite things, and a thing is an inanimate object. That is why I won't be listing family or pets, even though others before me have done so.

In no particular order, seven of my favorite things are:

  • Art, especially an oil painting that a friend of mine painted and gave to me as a gift.

  • Arts and crafts projects that my daughter or grandchildren made in pre-school or school and gave to me as a gift. I keep them all.
  • Fresh cut flowers, especially the ones that I grow.

  • Music, especially cd's that I buy.

  • Photographs, especially my photo albums and framed photos.

  • My home. It's no palace, but is my haven.

  • My cellphone. I love all of it's features and it goes everywhere with me.
I'm happy to nominate some blogs that I really enjoy. These seven get my enthusiastic nomination for the Kreativ Blogger award. These blogs have a wide range of creativity. They are all creative in their own ways with their photography, layout, or writing style, etc.

Also, so many blogs already have this award, so I am also trying to choose blogs that do not have the award displayed on their blog. I hope you take a moment to check out these great blogs!

The seven blogs, in no particular order that I nominate for the Kreativ Blog Award are:

  • An Ardent Cosmic Journey (Even though she is on hiatus, her archives are worth reading). And even though she is young, she has been blogging for five years! She is creative in every way and has a big following. Comment and she will always comment back!

  • Prinsesa's Anatomy (She's a young nurse and teacher and like me, she loves cats). She is a very skilled writer covering a variety of topics. You'll see she is very creative in using her cat theme! I absolutely love her blog.

  • Pwn Star (A great personal blog) She writes a lot about her life at home and work. It's like a great soap opera! People do cuss in the comments, but she is clever to not spell out any curse words herself (uses asteriks a lot)! Just a little warning to those who get offended by such things. Don't let her blog name fool you. She is sweet devoted wife!

  • Shey_strides (Another nurse, I must really like nurses!) She always has beautiful photographs, especially of flowers. She lives in one of the most beautiful cities in the U.S. and luckily for us, she always has a camera with her! She is so creative in every way. I especially love her photos and her layout.

  • Bad Habit (One of the most creative writers out there)! She doesn't blog as much anymore, but it is such a treat when she does! Be sure and read her disclaimer!

  • Imagine (She is a creative floral designer). She will share some photos of the most gorgeous floral designs, but she also writes about a lot of thought provoking things. You will be instantly drawn in by the large size font that she uses!

  • True Crime Book Reviews is a blog I recently found through blog catalog. Now I am no longer embarrassed to say I love to read true crime books! The blog is full of great book reviews and full of energy. The layout is beyond creative; it is amazing.

Hey John
I was just going to answer your extremely interesting post and hoping(I won't lie) that you would consider me the next time you give out an award and I see you have already.Thank you so much.I love awards coz then I also get to mention new blogs discovered or in awe of.Now for my intended answer to your post on your favorite things.
Art, especially an oil painting that a friend of mine painted and gave to me as a gift.(Friend did a painting and she dumped it in her garage.I begged her for it and it is now my pride and joy)

Arts and crafts projects that my daughter or grandchildren made in pre-school or school and gave to me as a gift. I keep them all.(Me too except no grandchildren yet)

Fresh cut flowers, especially the ones that I grow.(I refuse to cut mine-prefer to leave them outside so the neighbors can be jealous)

Music, especially cd's that I buy.(agreed)

Photographs, especially my photo albums and framed photos.(agreed)

My home. It's no palace, but is my haven.(absolutely-smallest house on the block but its mine)

My cellphone. I love all of it's features and it goes everywhere with me.(hate my cell phone-i forget it everywhere)

Have a lovely day-love ur blog!

Thanks for the award, John! Most of all, thanks for that list of blogs that I can check out. I can't wait to get to "Imagine". I'm really into floral arranging, something I started doing with dry flowers a long time ago. I haven't done an arrangement in years and have been wanting to do one for my living-room. I've been stalling, though...need some fresh ideas.

Again, thanks for the award and pointing out my disclaimer. I think you're the only one who has noticed it. ;-)

I forgot to put in the post that you are supposed to notify each person you nominate too, so I will edit that later.

@Rae, thank you so much! I noticed you were already a "Kreativ Blogger." People should check out your blog too!

@Yvette Kelly, I'm so glad you liked getting the award, so very well deserved! I liked your comment, especially about the oil painting. I guess some of us appreciate art more than others.

I always like to cut something from outside and bring the outside in all year round. There's always something even in the winter (pine branches, holly, etc).

Glad to hear you like my blog! And thank you so much for becoming a follower and for commenting!

@me414, you are so welcome for a much deserved award! I hope you enjoy the blogs I listed as much as I do. HalfCrazy writes An Ardent Cosmic Journey and she is a college student, so hopefully she will resume blogging very soon!

Since flowers are already so pretty, you can't go wrong arranging them! Always remember that...I always tell my staff that when they start to doubt their own work!

John, thank you so much for the award!! I will try to get it into my sidebar, but I have been notoriously bad at that, and usually post it in the body of a post. I can certainly list 7 things I love, but since I believe I have done this award before, I will not nominate anyone this time around. Again, thanks!! I will cherish it, coming from another creative person.

@kenju, You're very welcome! Your blog is so unique and I can't say enough how much I appreciate it. I love the large font! Of course, I love all your photos (especially yours & Mel's designs) and the blog posts about the foxes was great! I really enjoyed that.

No worries, you are under no obligations with the award. Not everyone does them, since they are also memes!

Congrats on winning the Kreativ Blogger award, John!! Well-deserved, I must say...

Although, I must protest you calling me "sweet". It's probably not true in general. I only get my sweet-on when when I want something...

;)

I'll do my response post shortly!!! Thank you!

Hi John! Thanks for the award! I really appreciate it. Sorry for the delayed response. I've been flaky on my blogging these past weeks and I'm just catching up now on my comments section.

Again thanks a lot and enjoy your week! :)
