SarahCRAPPAC ... (God help us all).

If you thought Sarah Palin was going to just fade away, you clearly weren’t listening, when she said the only difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull was lipstick.

The Alaska governor, who was the Republican nominee for vice president in the race that John McCain lost to Democrat Barack Obama last year, is already laying the groundwork for another run at something. She just won't go away! She has started her own political action committee, SarahPAC, complete with a
website. And she’s learned a trick from Obama — the site’s main feature is a page where you can put down your name and donate $25 or $5,000 or more.

On a personal level, I like and admire Governor Palin. She is more like common folk than most politicians. She's down to earth, smart and has accomplished a great deal for such a young woman. I'm glad she ran as McCain's running mate. A woman for such high office in the future, even as president (just not her) sounds like a great idea to me. It takes guts to even take on such an endeavor. So good for her! Some good will come from this, like surely a better candidate will arise once they realize what is in the works.

With that being said, as a Democrat, I hope she does run for national office. I think she would lose every time. She's the gift that just keeps on giving.

Although I used to be a Democrat (now an Independent) I was furious over the treatment of Sarah Palin when she ran. I couldn't believe that my fellow Democrats and especially women, would attack her so personally, and even went so far as to attack her kids. My jaw just dropped when I read a comment from a blogger within a network that I used to visit, and she called Sarah Palin's infant son with Downs Syndrome, a retarded alcohol fetal syndrome baby, and she also said it wasn't Sarah's baby but her daughter's. Even when it was proved that the rumor about her daughter being the mom, she continued to claim it was true.

Another blogger from the same network said that women with small children shouldn't be President. This came from a woman who claimed to care about feminist issues!

I don't care who the candidate is, you should always stay away from going after their kids...even their teen aged kids.

I agree 100% in politics the candidate's children should be off limits! And the word "retarded" is one of the cruelest things I've ever heard, and I call people out on it everytime!

Hope I wasn't too hard on Gov. Palin! And, after the latest politics in IL. I too think I will change to Independent or Green Party! Never again will I vote straight Democrat automatically.
