For me,and many others, I'm sure; it will always be the Sears Tower!

John,

I heard about that on my way to work this morning. I was like it will always be Sears tower to me.

When my son was about 4 years old, he would always call it the "Serious Tower" and thus...it will remain that name in our family. After all..."What's in a name? That which we call a tower, by any other name would look like the same old tower"...or something like that. My Shakespeare wasn't always that good. ;-)

For me it will always be the Sears tower as well, but over the years people will get used to the new name probably.

When I was little Six Flags in Glen Falls NY was called Story town and was owned by an individual He than retired and sold it to a company called "The Great Escape". It took me about ten years to start calling it the Great Escape and than they sold it to Six Flags, but I still call it the Great Escape.

@Allen, that was my first thought too.

@Mary_Ellen, Serious Tower...I like that! Hey, your Shakespeare is better than mine! Quote it here anytime :-)

@Beth, No doubt after a new generation people will get
used to it and anybody that calls it Sears Tower will get corrected!

That's interesting about the theme park name. I've seen that used in ads for Six Flags St. Louis-- Six Flags, The Great Escape. I never knew about the connection!
